Shepherd Construction has been named as one of
five companies appointed for the design and build of up to £250 million worth
of MOD construction projects in the East Midlands and Eastern England region.
The Framework covers an area spanning Lincolnshire to Essex and has been
awarded by The Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO).
The contracts have been awarded for the Regional
Capital Work’s Framework East Midlands and East England. The framework
will provide a sustainable pipeline of design and construction one-off projects
for the MOD in the region.

Phase one of a new £9 million building at University Academy Holbeach in Spalding is now partially complete. Phase two, which incorporates demolition, further remodelling and landscaping of the site, is set to be completed in April 2014.

Hitachi Rail Europe Ltd have announced the appointment of the construction contractor to build their new state-of-the-art manufacturing plant in the North East of England. Darlington-based lead contractor Shepherd has been appointed to build the plant with work set to start later this year.
