  • Shepherd Construction has strengthened its relationship with The Transformation Trust by supporting its Cineclub project.


    The Cineclub project will see pupils from three academies compete against each other to produce a film on the construction programme at their school. The pupils have been given an open brief, so they can decide who they would like to focus their film on.

  • Work has completed on Liverpool Central Library, one of the UK’s largest library redevelopment projects. 


    The £50 million PFI restoration and redevelopment project was carried out by Shepherd Construction as part of the Inspire Partnership, a joint venture with International Public Partnerships. The partnership has also included architect Austin-Smith:Lord (ASL) and Cofely as providers of Facilities Management services. 

    Austin-Smith:Lord has aimed to strike a fine balance between restoring the grade ll listed buildings and introducing new 21st century spaces.

  • The Duke of York has visited the National Renewable Energy Centre (Narec) at Blyth, Northumberland, to open two new facilities for the development of offshore renewable energy technologies.


     The new offshore wind turbine blade and tidal turbine drive train testing facilities which have been constructed by Shepherd Construction are the result of a combined investment of £33.6m by UK Government and the European Regional Development Fund.   • Shepherd Construction has landed a ‘double first’ having secured £13 million of work for the first time in both Oxford and on London’s Oxford Street.

    The contracts both involve the development of retail space – a £9 million mixed-use development on behalf of the Cooperative Insurance Society and a £4 million expansion of the Clarendon Centre in Oxford’s Cornmarket Street on behalf of Lothbury Investment Management.
