New Senior Appointments For Shepherd Construction

National contractor Shepherd Construction has made a trio of senior appointments to its West Division which extends across the North West and West Midlands.

Robert Tudge has joined as Commercial Manager and will be based at the contractor’s Birmingham office. Lisa Bowden has been appointed as Business Development Manager for the North West, operating from the Manchester office, while Andrew Dixon joins as Work Winning Manager.
Robert Tudge has 37 years’ experience in construction, particularly within work winning. Prior to joining Shepherd he was part of the bid management team for Volkerfitzpatrick where he played a key role in the fit-out of a one million sq ft distribution facility for a major retailer.

Lisa Bowden’s previous roles include 11 years as project manager for Bovis Lend Lease where she worked on the £280 million Trafford Centre and the £400 million Manchester Joint Hospitals Project.

More recently she was community regeneration and operations manager for BASE, a joint venture partnership between Artisan and Barratt Homes, which included some of the Homes and Communities Agency’s top 20 key regeneration projects.

Andrew Dixon joins from privately-owned construction company Osborne where he was responsible for the bid and project management for several healthcare schemes.

Peter Millett, managing director for Shepherd Construction’s west division commented: “We are delighted to welcome all three to the team. They are all highly capable and skilled managers who will bring the right experience to the division as we continue to expand and win more projects across the West.”

Shepherd Construction’s project portfolio across the North West includes two student accommodation schemes in Manchester – a £45 million development on Marlborough Street and a £4 million scheme on Arch Bar – and the £50 million redevelopment of Liverpool’s Central Library.

In the West Midlands, the contractor is currently on-site building the £66 million new Bournville College at Longbridge in Birmingham and a £14.9 million new leisure centre at Bilston, Wolverhampton.
