Royal Visitor Officially Opens Cheshunt School
His Royal Highness The Duke of Gloucester visited St Mary’s C of E School recently to formally open the new school.
Shepherd Construction completed the new £22.5 million school in spring 2010. Representatives from the construction team were on-hand to meet the VIP party after the formal opening and blessing of the school by the Bishop of St Albans.
The school was the first new secondary school to be built in Hertfordshire for more than 30 years and has provided the pupils and staff with state-of-the-art facilities including technology suites, a performing arts centre and sports complex.
