Shepherd Construction Appoints Commercial Director To London Office
National contractor Shepherd Construction has appointed Gary Walton as Commercial Director for the company’s South Division.
Gary will be based in Shepherd Construction’s London office and his role will include overseeing all the division’s commercial activities as well as being involved in work winning activities and developing and growing the South Division’s supply chain.
Gary joined Shepherd Construction in 1987 as a technical student and has since specialised in quantity surveying, gaining vast experience working in different market sectors and procurement routes as part of Shepherd’s East Divisional team.
Phil Greer, Shepherd Construction’s Executive Director of Operations, commented: “Gary will further strengthen our London team and his flexible approach will be invaluable when it comes to working collaboratively with clients and their cost consultants.”
Shepherd Construction opened its London office in January 2011. Current projects being handled by the South Division include a £110 million project delivering research facilities for the Institute of Animal Health at Pirbright in Surrey; a £58 million new school at Holland Park; and a £27 million project to build 27 luxury apartments on Park Road in London and a hotel development of Oxford Street.
