Shepherd Construction Completes Sheffields Tallest Building

Main contractor Shepherd Construction has completed Sheffield’s tallest building, St Pauls City Lofts Apartments.

The £38.4m mixed-use scheme designed by Conran & Partners comprises a pair of interlinked towers – the12-storey Tower One and the 32-storey Tower Two, which at 101 metres high has re-defined Sheffield’s skyline. The scheme is providing 316 luxury one and two-bedroom apartments, a further 22,000 sq ft of retail and leisure facilities and 88 car parking spaces.

The development, located adjacent to Arundel Gate and the Winter Gardens, is a major element of Sheffield’s ‘Heart of the City’ regeneration project, and is around 23 metres higher than the Arts Tower in the city.

Allan McDougall, chief executive officer for Shepherd Construction commented: “We are delighted to complete this development which is set to help transform Sheffield by providing prestigious accommodation and retail facilities for those living and working in the city centre.”
