Shepherd Hatches An Early Easter Surprise For York Pupils
Shepherd Construction hatched an early Easter surprise for the pupils at Clifton with Rawcliffe school last week when they provided 312 eggs in the playground at the infant site for each of the children to then hunt out and a further 257 for the pupils at the Junior site.
Shepherd Construction, which is in the process of building a new £7 million school on Eastholme Drive, Rawcliffe, took time out to organise the Easter Egg Hunt at the current school before the holiday break.
John Butterfield, Shepherd Construction’s project manager commented: “The children were having a whale of a time hunting out the eggs and it will have started off their Easter break with an additional treat.”
Beverley Wright, Deputy Headteacher at the school said: “It was a delight to see the excitement on the pupils’ faces as they discovered the hidden eggs. Many thanks to Shepherd Construction for a great afternoon!”
Completion of the new school is scheduled this September and will bring together two schools under one roof sharing state-of-the-art education and sports facilities.
