This biomedical research facility comprises two buildings of four and seven storeys linked together by an entrance node. Research areas focus on cancer, stroke and neurological diseases, such as Parkinson’s, multiple sclerosis and psychiatric disease. The imaging centre, which is linked to Hammersmith hospital via a glazed walkway, is one of the world’s largest industry-university collaborations and uses the latest technologies in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and positron emission topography (PET).
