This contract saw the development of a speculative 7-storey office block with basement car parking, which was then let to the Liverpool Department for Constitutional Affairs. The scheme was then reconfigured to create 27 courtrooms, judicial offices, staff facilities and public areas. As the building was constructed over a subterranean escalator shaft for the Liverpool tube system, a detailed bridging structure needed to be created within the base of the building.
