The Leeds Institute of Genetic, Health & Therapeutics is a four-storey laboratory complex, with facilities including Advisory Committee on Dangerous Pathogens (ACDP) Category 3 laboratories, constructed to rigorous standards, controls and requirements. It is the first biomedical facility at the University, with 200 staff performing internationally competitive research into complex chronic disorders (including cardiovascular disease, diabetes, cancer and neurodegenerative diseases).
