The new Design School at Loughborough University provides bespoke designed studios, research laboratories, prototyping workshops, teaching laboratories, lecture theatre/auditorium, offices and meeting rooms, IT labs, café and exhibition spaces.

The external envelope of the building is made up extensively of zinc cladding, with hard and soft landscaping complementing the overall visage.

The £14.7m project achieved a “Very Good” BREEAM rating and was awarded Performance Beyond Compliance in 2011 and it has also achieved an EPC ‘B’ rating and 15% renewable energy provision
