Three separate contracts for Nuffield Hospitals to create advanced independent hospital facilities.  Each hospital has fully equipped operating theatres, intensive care beds, consulting and treatment rooms and in-patient beds.  Each of the schemes required complex logistical skills.  Leeds Nuffield was constructed in a tight city centre location, with restricted access, whilst the York scheme saw the radical refurbishment of a former chocolate factory’s canteen into new hospital facilities.
