A new opto-electronics centre, which is home to a 1000m² copper diseleide photovoltaic wall, which converts energy from both direct and in-direct solar radiation into a direct current. The two-storey centre includes a business support unit, 24 business incubator units, clean rooms, laboratories, research & development facilities and conference, meeting and training rooms. Other environmental features of the centre include a natural ventilation system created by stack effect chimneys and trombe walls, and a rainwater harvesting system. It was the first project in North Wales to secure demonstration status under the Rethinking Construction Movement for Innovation (M4I).
