National contractor Shepherd Construction has secured a second London contract with Pantelli Associates, this time for the conversion of a warehouse into apartments.
The £1.38 million contract on Douglas Street, Pimlico, will see the contractor convert a four-storey warehouse into 10 apartments across five storeys.
Shepherd Construction Appoints New Managing Director For South Division
National contractor Shepherd Construction has appointed Mark Tant as managing director of the contractor’s South Division to spearhead the company’s continuing growth strategy across the South East and Home Counties.
Mr Tant, who will be based at the company’s London office, joins Shepherd after a 29-year career at Willmott Dixon, the last eight years of which were spent in the role of managing director for South London and the Southern Home Counties.

Shepherd Construction Scoops Contract With University College Birmingham
National contractor Shepherd Construction has been awarded a £17 million contract to deliver the first phase of a new campus development on behalf of University College Birmingham (UCB).
Work is scheduled to begin this December and will see Shepherd Construction deliver a new 7,592m² teaching facility that will enable UCB to continue with its vision for modern learning environments for the further education and higher education courses it offers. This first phase development is for both Postgraduate and Undergraduate teaching.
Bilston leisure centre opened on Saturday
Bilston’s new £18.6m Bert Williams Leisure Centre was opened this weekend by the legendary Wolverhampton Wanderers and England goalkeeper that the new facility has been named after.
Bert Williams MBE and Wolverhampton Mayor Councillor Bert Turner cut the ribbon to declare the centre open on Saturday (December 3, 2011).
